| Before starting to make the nerve model, a basic panoramic view should be created. Find foramen mandibulae at the axial view. |

| Choose the ‘Panoramic curve’ tool at the tools panel or by pressing the Alt+P key combination. The special cursor appears when this tool is active. Set up the starting point of the panoramic curve by clicking the left mouse button. |

| Following the course of the mandibular canal, move through axial sections using the arrow keys up/down or the mouse wheel to Foramen mentale, tracing the entire path of the canal, and set the intermediate points of the panoramic curve. |

| The final point of the panoramic curve is set up by double clicking or by the right mouse button. |

| After creating a panoramic curve, the panoramic view window will appear which traces the mandibular canal. |

| To make a nerve model choose the ‘Nerve’ tool at the tools panel or by pressing the Alt+N key combination. The special cursor appears when this tool is active. Create a starting point by clicking the left mouse button in the base panoramic view window. Then, following the mandibular canal set the intermediate points of the nerve by clicking the left mouse button. |

| You can finish making the nerve model by clicking the right mouse button or by setting the endpoint of the nerve using the double click. |

| The nerve will be visualized automatically in the 3D view window. |
