Implant-Assistant

Implant-Assistant software suite is designed for planning dental implant, oral and maxillofacial surgeries. The suite consists of three modules: Implant-Assistant Planner, Implant-Assistant CT, and Implant-Assistant Guide.

Implant-Assistant CT is meant for preparing data required for surgery planning. Implant-Assistant Planner is the surgeon’s principal tool for surgery planning and analyzing its possible outcomes. Implant-Assistant Guide designs an Implant-Guide model.

Implant-Assistant software suite uses a series of axial sections as reference data. The axial sections are generated using computer-aided tomography imaging in the form of a set of files in DICOM format. The Implant-Assistant CT module extracts and converts DICOM file data needed for surgery planning, such as section images, spatial position and orientation of the section, image resolution, patient details, imaging date, and the like. Extracted data is converted into an internal format of the application. Using area highlight tools and 3D model generation tools, the user creates objects required for further surgery planning, such as the jaw, teeth, soft tissues, dentures, and the like. Ready data is uploaded into the Implant-Assistant Planner module, which contains the full set of tools for surgery planning.

Once surgery planning has been completed, the data is uploaded into the Implant-Assistant Guide module. This module designs an Implant-Guide model and exports 3D models into STL format for further prototyping.

The surgeon uses the Implant-Guide in dental implant surgeries to precisely seat the implant in the planned position.

Using the Implant-Guide rules out direction and drilling depth errors. It also helps avoid separating the periosteal flap when seating the implants.

The Implant-Guide considerably shortens the duration of surgery and reduces the extent of surgical trauma.
